SPONSOR: Northern Virginia Volksmarchers (AVA-151, VA-13).

LOCATION: Old Bust Head Brewing Company, 7134 Farm Station Road (formerly Lineweaver Road), Vint Hill, Warrenton, VA 20187 
GPS Coordinates: N38° 44’ 43.01”, W077° 40’ 9.23”

START TIME: Register and start walking anytime between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Finish by 3:00 p.m.

WALK DESCRIPTION: Walkers have a choice between 5 KM (3.1 miles) and 10 KM (6.2 miles). The 10 KM trail
can be completed a second time for credit at no additional fee. Both distances are rated 1A (fairly flat and
almost entirely on asphalt or pavement.) Those who remember the U.S. Army Vint Hill Station, which closed in
the 1990’s, will not recognize today’s bucolic setting.

Eligible for AVA Special Programs: Walking the United States (50 States) and Walking the USA (A-Z). Also
Virginia Counties: Fauquier.

FEES: There is no charge to participate in these events. The fee for IVV credit is $3. There is no pre-registration
for this event. No refunds will be given.

PROCEDURES: At the start point, each participant will be issued his/her own start card, which must be signed.
The individual start cards will be turned in at the finish table after completing the event.

STIPULATIONS: Everyone is welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The trails can
accommodate strollers and wheelchairs.

CONDITIONS: Restrooms are available near the start/finish. Water is also available.

IVV BOOKS: All previous participants of IVV events are reminded to bring their books to this event. Those
wishing to purchase new books or a new walker packet may do so at the sales table.

DOGS: Leashed dogs are welcome on the walk.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY: The American Volkssport Association or its branch clubs are not responsible for
theft or loss of personal belongings or property. Every reasonable effort will be made by the sponsor to make
this a safe and enjoyable walk. All walkers must sign a waiver.

NEARBY: The Warrenton year-round event starts nearby at the Warrenton Visitor’s Center, 33 N. Calhoun St.
Center is open 9 to 5 daily. This trail follows brick sidewalks in historic Warrenton past the post-Civil War
home of Col. Mosby, the Gray Ghost. Ask registration for directions.

AFTERWARDS: Relax and enjoy some food at the next door Farm Station Café and/or a beer of the Old Bust
Head Brewery! You may also enjoy a tasting at the nearby Vint Hill Craft Winery or spend an hour at the Cold
War Museum. Challenge yourself and your friends to solve themed puzzles at Escape Vint Hill. There are so
many things to enjoy before or after your walk!
